There are events capable of drawing a sharp line, in just a few moments, between what life was like before and what it will be like afterward. Sudden and unpredictable moments that abruptly interrupt normal life, changing routines, perspectives, and plans, and forcing an entire family to face a reality that no one could ever have imagined having to confront.
When something like this happens to a child who is just seven years old, the weight of what has happened becomes even harder to accept. Alongside the pain and concern of the present comes the need to look ahead, preparing for a journey that will require time, treatment, and rehabilitation, but also all the support possible to guide a child and his family toward an everyday life that will be profoundly different.
It is from this situation that “Help for Alessio and His Family” was created, a personal fundraising campaign on TrustMeUp by Larissa Gnoatto.
The fundraiser was created to provide concrete support to Alessio and his family, helping them cover the many expenses they will face over the coming months of treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery.
An Accident That Changed Everything
On August 14, in Cerea, Alessio was involved in a very serious road accident.
The seven-year-old child lost a foot and suffered significant injuries that will require a long journey of treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery.
That day suddenly changed Alessio’s life and the life of his family, who must now face the consequences of the accident alongside him and everything that will be necessary in the months ahead.
A Long Journey Ahead
After an event of this magnitude, getting through the initial phase is only one part of what will inevitably be a much longer journey.
Alessio will need to be supported through the treatment and rehabilitation necessary for his recovery, gradually adjusting to a new everyday life and all the challenges it will bring.
Concrete Support for Alessio and His Family
It was with the months ahead in mind that Larissa decided to create this fundraiser.
The goal is to help cover the many expenses the family will face, providing concrete support at a time when emotional and logistical difficulties are inevitably accompanied by financial ones as well.
As specified in the campaign, all proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to Alessio’s family.
